Itinerary

DAY1

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station, meet your driver and proceed to Shillong, famously known as the “Scotland of the East.” Enroute Stop: Umiam Lake A vast scenic reservoir surrounded by pine-covered hills. Ideal for photography and optional boating. Arrival in Shillong: Hotel check-in & relaxation. Evening free for exploring Police Bazaar (local markets, cafés, street food).

Overnight stay in Shillong.

DAY2

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing: Elephant Falls – multi-tiered scenic waterfall. Shillong Peak – highest viewpoint offering panoramic city views. Ward’s Lake – charming lake with walking trails. Don Bosco Museum (optional – excellent cultural insight into North East tribes). Optional add-on (weather permitting): Laitlum Canyons – dramatic valley views & photography spot. Evening at leisure.

Overnight stay in Shillong.

DAY3

After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati, the gateway to North East India. Check-in at hotel. Afternoon Sightseeing: Kamakhya Temple One of the most sacred Shakti Peethas in India, located atop Nilachal Hill. Umananda Temple Located on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra River (short ferry ride). Evening: Sunset Cruise on the Brahmaputra River (optional but recommended).

Overnight stay in Guwahati.

DAY4

After breakfast, choose one of the following options: Option 1: Guwahati City & Cultural Tour Assam State Museum Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra Local silk & handicraft shopping. Basistha Ashram Option 2 (Recommended): Day Trip to Kaziranga (Long Day) Visit Kaziranga National Park (approx. 4–5 hrs one way) Jeep safari (subject to permit & season) Spot One-Horned Rhinoceros, wild elephants, deer Return to Guwahati by late evening.

Overnight stay in Guwahati.

DAY5

After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for onward journey. Tour concludes with beautiful North East memories.
