Itinerary

DAY1

Arrival at Airport / Railway Station and transfer to hotel in Guwahati. After check-in, proceed for local sightseeing: Kamakhya Temple – One of the most sacred Shakti Peethas in India, located atop Nilachal Hill. Umananda Temple – Situated on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra River (ferry ride). Evening: Optional sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

DAY2

After breakfast, drive to Shillong, known as the “Scotland of the East.” Enroute Stop: Umiam Lake – Scenic lake surrounded by pine forests (optional boating). Arrival in Shillong: Hotel check-in. Evening at Police Bazaar (shopping & cafés). Overnight stay in Shillong.

DAY3

After early breakfast, proceed to Cherrapunji (Sohra). Sightseeing includes: Nohkalikai Falls – India’s tallest plunge waterfall with dramatic valley backdrop. Seven Sisters Falls (seasonal). Eco Park. Mawsmai Cave – Limestone cave exploration. Arwah Cave (optional). Return to Shillong by evening. Overnight stay in Shillong.

DAY4

After breakfast, drive to Dawki. Visit: Umngot River – Crystal-clear river where boats appear floating. Optional boating available. Mawlynnong – Known as “Asia’s Cleanest Village.” Bamboo Sky Walk. Living Root Bridge. Local Khasi village walk. Return to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

DAY5

After breakfast, explore: Elephant Falls. Shillong Peak. Ward’s Lake. Don Bosco Museum (optional). Afternoon excursion to: Laitlum Canyons – dramatic valley views & photography spot. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Shillong.

DAY6

After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for departure. Tour concludes with refreshing Meghalaya memories.
