6-Day Kerala Tour: Munnar, Thekkady & Backwaters

Upon arrival at Airport or Railway Station, you will meet our representative. You will then depart for Munnar in your private AC Vehicle. The four-hour drive takes you through lush landscapes and rubber plantations, with en route stops at the Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls for photographs. On reaching Munnar, you will check into your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, enjoy your peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay in hotel.

You will begin your day with an early morning visit to Eravikulam National Park, where you may spot the Nilgiri Tahr amidst the rolling hills of Rajamalai. Later, you will take a tour of the Tata Tea Museum to learn about the evolution of Munnar’s tea industry. The day continues with visits to Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and the Rose Garden. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a private walk through a tea plantation and enjoy your leisure time. Overnight stay in hotel.

After breakfast, you will drive for approximately three hours to Thekkady, also known as Periyar, which is famous for its spice plantations. In the afternoon, you will enjoy boating on Periyar Lake, where wildlife such as elephants, gaurs, and exotic birds can often be seen along the shoreline. You will also participate in a guided tour of a spice plantation to see how cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon are cultivated. In the evening, enjoy your leisure time, during which you may attend a Kathakali classical dance performance or a Kalaripayattu martial arts show, or visit a local emporium for spice shopping.

You will drive to Kumarakom, a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake. After check-in at your hotel, you will visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, known for migratory birds including the Siberian Stork. In the evening, you will enjoy a private sunset cruise on a traditional motorboat across Vembanad Lake, accompanied by local snacks and refreshments while taking in the tranquil backwater views.

After breakfast, you will drive to Alleppey (Alappuzha) to board your private houseboat (Kettuvallam). You will spend the day cruising through narrow backwater canals, observing rural Kerala life, paddy fields, and coconut groves. Traditional Kerala lunch, evening tea, and dinner will be prepared on board using fresh local ingredients. You will stay overnight on the houseboat anchored in a peaceful backwater stretch.
