6 Days of Kashmir Getaway: Srinagar, Pahalgam & Gulmarg

Upon arrival at Srinagar airport, you will be received by our local executive.

Proceed to Dal Lake for check-in to the houseboat for an overnight stay.

After relaxing for some time, proceed for Srinagar local sightseeing.

Visit:

• Shankar Acharya Temple (built on the top of the mountain overlooking Dal Lake) then visit Cheshma Shahi (Mughal Spring), Nishat Garden known as ‘Garden of pleasure’ built in the 16th century (1633) by Mughals.

• Then visit Shalimar Garden known as ‘Garden of love’ built in the 16th century (1619) by Mughal King Jehangir for his beloved wife Noor Jehan or (Mehr-un-Nissa) you will also enjoy SHIKARA RIDE on world-famous Dal Lake in which you will cover, Floating Gardens, Vegetable Gardens, Golden Lake, Inner markets like Mena Bazar, and Canals, etc.

If your luck and time permits, visit Char Chinar.

Char Chinar, also sometimes called Char Chinari, Ropa Lank, or Rupa Lank, is an island in Dal Lake, Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir.

Dal Lake includes 3 islands, 2 of which are marked with beautiful Chinar trees.

Also enjoy the scenic view of the Zabarwan Mountains, overnight stay in Houseboat at Srinagar.

After breakfast, proceed from Gulmarg to Pahalgam “Valley of Shepherds” via en-route sightseeing visit Awantipura Ruins, Saffron Fields, and Cricket Bat Factories, continue to drive towards Pahalgam, Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry.

In Pahalgam enjoy nature and admire the beauty of this quiet place and be in awe of the serene surroundings, in Pahalgam you can visit Betaab valley (Betaab Valley is situated at a distance of 15 kilometers from Pahalgam he valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab.

The valley surrounded by lush green meadows, snow-clad mountains, and covered with dense vegetation) A local Taxi has to be hired for these beautiful places, evening free for leisure, overnight stay in Hotel at Pahalgam.

After breakfast leave for Horse riding. Horse riding is an adventure option to do while visiting Pahalgam. Besides, it is a means of transport for tourists visiting Pahalgam. Ponies can be hired directly or through the Tourist Office and on all the important locations of Pahalgam tariffs are displayed.

Optional (day trek to Surmarg valley /old Shikargah / green valley)

After breakfast, proceed to Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers.”

Gulmarg was discovered by a Kashmiri romantic poet in the 16th century, inspired by its grassy slopes covered with wildflowers.

Upon reaching Gulmarg, our vehicle will park at the designated parking area or at the hotel.

Vehicles are not allowed inside Gulmarg for inner sightseeing.

Inner sightseeing can be done by walking or by horse ride at your own expense.

In winter, Gulmarg looks even more beautiful due to heavy snowfall and turns into India’s premier ski resort.

Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and the highest 18-hole golf course.

Enjoy a Gondola ride from Gulmarg to Kangdoor (1st Phase) and from Kangdoor to Afarwat (2nd Phase) at your own expense.

After enjoying the day, the evening is free for leisure.
