Itinerary

DAY1

Upon arrival, meet our representative at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel. Spend the morning at total rest to allow your body to adjust to the high altitude (11,500 ft). In the evening, take a gentle walk to the Leh Main Market, exploring local handicraft shops and cozy cafés. Overnight stay in Leh (Deluxe Hotel).

DAY2

Visit the Hall of Fame, the museum maintained by the Indian Army honoring the heroes of the Himalayas. Explore Shanti Stupa, the white-domed Buddhist stupa offering a panoramic 360-degree view of Leh town. Take a guided walk through Leh Palace, the 17th-century former royal palace and a masterpiece of Tibetan architecture. Overnight stay in Leh (Deluxe Hotel).

DAY3

Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world (17,582 ft). Visit Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest monastery in Nubra, featuring the magnificent 106-ft Maitreya Buddha statue. Experience the “Cold Desert” at Hunder Sand Dunes and enjoy a Bactrian (double-humped) camel safari amidst the dunes. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley (Deluxe Hotel).

DAY4

Drive to Turtuk Village, the last village on the Indian side of the border, which was opened to tourists only in 2010. Discover the unique Balti culture, apricot orchards, and the stone houses of this border community. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley (Deluxe Hotel).

DAY5

Enjoy a quiet breakfast overlooking the Shyok River in the morning. You may optionally visit the Panamik hot sulfur springs, known for their medicinal properties. Later, drive back to Leh by recrossing Khardung La, capturing the changing hues of the mountain ranges in your Xylo or Innova. Overnight stay in Leh (Deluxe Hotel).

DAY6

Cross Chang La Pass, the world’s third-highest motorable pass, to reach the famous Pangong Lake. Spend the afternoon at the shore of this high-altitude saline lake, known for changing colors from turquoise to deep blue. Capture photographs at the iconic “3 Idiots” point and the dramatic reflections of the mountains in the crystal-clear water. Overnight stay in Leh (Deluxe Hotel).

DAY7

Visit Magnetic Hill to witness the gravity-defying phenomenon where vehicles appear to roll uphill. Proceed to Sangam to see the spectacular confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. Stop at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, the historic Sikh shrine maintained by the Army. Enjoy a guided heritage walk through the old town of Leh to discover hidden chortens and traditional mud-brick architecture. Overnight stay in Leh (Deluxe Hotel).

DAY8

Early in the morning, proceed for your final transfer to the airport in your private Xylo or Innova. Depart with memories of a lifetime as you fly over the majestic Himalayan peaks.
