Leh & Pangong Escape: 4 Nights of Himalayan Serenity

Meet our representative at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. A comfortable Xylo / Innova will whisk you away to your hotel. Check-in and traditional Ladakhi welcome. The first day is strictly dedicated to rest to allow your body to adjust to the high altitude (11,500 ft). In the evening, a gentle orientation walk through the Leh Main Market. Explore the artisanal stalls offering pashmina shawls and turquoise jewelry. Savor a quiet dinner at the hotel featuring Thukpa or Skyu to begin your culinary journey.

After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to the Hall of Fame, a poignant museum dedicated to the Indian Army. Continue to explore the historic Leh Palace, a 17th-century architectural marvel that offers panoramic views of the town and the Stok Kangri range. Later, visit the peaceful Sankar Gompa, known for its beautiful murals and traditional architecture. The day concludes with a drive to the iconic Shanti Stupa, where you can watch the sun dip below the horizon, painting the Himalayas in stunning shades of gold and purple. All sightseeing will be conducted via private Xylo / Innova.

In the morning, depart for Sham Valley and begin the journey with a stop at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a beautiful shrine nestled amidst the mountains. Continue to Magnetic Hill to witness the fascinating gravity-defying phenomenon before heading to Sangam, the breathtaking confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, where the contrast between the emerald and muddy blue waters creates a spectacular sight. In the afternoon, return to Leh with a visit to Spituk Monastery, perched dramatically on a hilltop. The evening is at leisure for independent exploration or a relaxing visit to a local "Standard" category boutique café.

Begin early in the morning with a scenic drive to Pangong Lake (14,270 ft) via the famous Chang La Pass, the third-highest motorable road in the world. Enjoy the comfort and privacy of your Xylo / Innova as you travel through rugged terrains and high-altitude pastures along the way. Upon reaching the lake, spend time at the shores of the world-famous blue brackish water body, known for its mesmerizing shades that change from turquoise to deep blue throughout the day. You may also enjoy a lakeside picnic lunch (optional/arranged) amidst the stark beauty of the surrounding landscape. Later in the evening, return to Leh and conclude the day with a farewell dinner at your hotel.
