Itinerary

DAY01

09:00 AM – 01:00 PM | Arrival & Transfer to Puri

Arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport / Bhubaneswar Railway Station followed by drive to Puri. Enroute visit Konark Sun Temple, the UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its magnificent chariot-shaped architecture.

 

01:00 PM – 03:00 PM | Hotel Check-In, Lunch & Leisure
Arrival in Puri followed by hotel check-in, lunch, and relaxation.

 

04:00 PM – 08:00 PM | Jagannath Temple Area & Festive Experience
Visit the surroundings of Shri Jagannath Temple and explore the festive atmosphere across Puri. Experience the temple surroundings and major celebration areas, local food and market experiences, Jagannath souvenirs, sweets and handicrafts, and evening walks through the festive streets.

 

Optional experiences include cultural performances/storytelling sessions and leisure time at Puri Beach.

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM | Breakfast at Hotel
Breakfast followed by preparation for the festival experience.

 

08:00 AM – 10:00 AM | Festival Orientation
Orientation session covering crowd movement, safety instructions, meeting points, and coordination support.

 

10:00 AM – 06:00 PM | Grand Rath Yatra Experience
Witness the spiritual grandeur of Rath Yatra as the gigantic chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra move through the streets amidst devotional chants, drums, and millions of devotees.

 

Experience the grand decorated chariots and sacred procession routes, traditional devotional music and celebrations, festive streets, rituals and cultural performances, local bazaars, sweets, street food and handicrafts, and the spiritual atmosphere of Puri during Rath Yatra.

 

06:00 PM – 08:00 PM | Evening Leisure & Beach Time
Leisure time for festive market walks and relaxation near Puri Beach.

Dinner and overnight stay in Puri.

DAY03

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM | Breakfast & Check-Out
Breakfast followed by hotel check-out.

 

08:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Transfer to Bhubaneswar
Drive towards Bhubaneswar for onward journey. Optional sightseeing can be covered as per departure timings, including Lingaraj Temple, the sacred Shiva temple known for its historic architecture, and Mukteshwar Temple, famous for its intricate Kalinga-style carvings.
